Cindy, thank you for posting your mom's obituary, because it was like getting to know her a little bit, you know? I love that she helped in the food bank often. Thank you for taking donations to the VF. It will benefit countless lives.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Just remember she's gone on to a place where this suffering will only be a memory.

There is hope. I had a similar experience in late 1981 and early 1982. 30 days in hospital...very ill. The only difference is I did not have as much kidney involvement (no dialysis). I went through lung biopsy and was very ill at age 34. I am now 63 and have had been out of remission twice in the past 2.5 years. So I was in remission almost 27 years and was very healthy. Strongly recommend bactriban ointment in the nose and on any skin areas that could be staf infection. I am fairly convinced that some type of bacteria takes me out of remission....so staying clean, healthy, and strong, is very important to me to stay in remission.

I hope this encourages you and your mother.

I truly apologize...after I wrote this, I saw the other note. Sympathies.

Mike, you story is very encouraging for all of us. Knowing that you were in remission that long gives up hope. I will look into Bactriban ointment in the nose. How long have you been using Bactriban?
