Hello Everyone

As you can see Brandt form Pretoria, South Africa and was diagnosed with WG's in September of 2010 (still a spring chicken). Currently I am on 20mg of prednisone / day and 25mg Methatrixcite and fosforic acid / week but besides the gaining of weight due to the Prednisone I am getting better.

In short my story is as follows. I had the simptoms for close to 1 and a half years e.g. mouth and throat ulcers, skin ulcers, fatigue and sinus problems, night sweats and I can go on. I was eventually admitted to hospital for the first time on 18/8/2009 and then misdiagnosed with TB. on 11/9/2010 I went back to the specialist who then addmitted me again and by lung-biopsy my WG's was confirmed.

Hi Sangye, thank you very much i am also very glad I found the forum which i believe will help me on my journey in the future. I know of, besides me at least three other WG cases in SA. i will try to get them to join the forun as well.

Hi elephant, thanks for you reply. Yes i am a born South African and absolutely enjoy living here. I am feeling excellent besides for the fact that I am very unfit after my whole hospital experience and ofcourse I am gaining weight like it is nobody's business after starting to use the prednisone. i been off the cyclophosphomyte for only two weeks now but the specialist says that it looks like i getting better by the day. he is very happy with my health at this stage. I can just thank our Father in Heaven that I wasn't too late.
