I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 1998, 10 years before Wegener's became acute. I had also been experiencing gastrontestinal problems had tests and was told that I had diverticular disease around the same time. In the past few years I have had 2 bouts of diverticulitis which I think was caused by eating popcorn which I know now is not a good idea if you have that problem....I had been trying to lose some of the pred weight!
