    Hello,

I am a new member to this forum. I work with researchers to provide them with tools for better diagnosis of conditions such as WG. We often require plasma donors to help the scientists develop new diagnostic tests. If anyone is interested in becoming a plasma donor, I am very happy to provide you with some info. I am also interested in natural ways of treating the condition as well as the reasons as to why people get it.

Hi Research, welcome. There are no natural ways of treating Wegs. I'm a chiropractor and have discussed the reasons at length in these threads (scroll down to my posts) Natural or Homeopathic Remedies? and My Roommate and I!

There is no known cause. The main hypotheses are that it is induced by infection or toxins.

Can you use the plasma discarded from plasmaparesis? If you can there should be gallons of it available at most treatment centers.

This is a good Idea, we actually can use the plasma discarded by the plasmapharesis centers. Where can I find them?

I work with a number of diagnostic companies to provide them with materials needed to research different conditions, develop diagnostic tests and get regulatory approvals. Let's say you are a researcher and you want to find a marker that could predict a relapse of WG before it actually happens. For this you will need plasma or serum samples from a number of donors with WG, taken at several different time points and then try and compare them to find the marker. We help researchers to find such materials.

The vasculitis foundation website lists some of the doctors who are treating GPA patients and would be a good place to start. Most large hospitals probably have some patients being treated to for GPA .

I've only just worked out what it was!
I'm too old to change now.
