Default Looking for best specialist for 2nd opinion on treatment!

My 30 yrs old nephew was just diagnosed with WG and started treatment. He wants to be reassured that the treatment is correct one for him. He lives in SC but has contacts (to stay) Atlanta, Cleveland and Raleigh. He also needs a rheumatologist in Greenville, SC. We'd appreciate any useful info!

If he can stay in Cleveland, I'd tell him to go to the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Langford and Hoffman (he's semi-retiring, I think) are two of the top docs on this disease. Hoffman "wrote the book" so to speak on what we know in the modern world about WG. Both he and Langford seem like lovely people -- my ENT, Dr. Bob Lebovics, was their head of head and neck surgery when they were all at the National Institutes of Health -- they did some pioneering research on vasculitis there.

Hi Nebs, I inboxed you. Yes, I highly recommend going to Cleveland Clinic and see Dr Carol Langford. HE will not be disappointed. Let me know if you got my private message. I didn't get much sleep last night...just hope I inboxed the right person.
