The website says to contact your doctor immediately. (I have copied the page for you)

    meloxicam - oral, Mobic
SIDE EFFECTS: Stomach upset, nausea, drowsiness, or diarrhea may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: easy bruising/bleeding, fainting, fast/pounding heartbeat, persistent/severe headache, mental/mood changes, sudden/unexplained weight gain, swelling of the hands/feet, vision

We all think you should get it checked out. I'm glad you stopped taking it but also pray that your pains don't worsen.

    Take care
I called the specialist and his nurse said "oh, I guess if you dont want the weight gain stop taking it". wow. Thanks. Nobody even asked me if I have any swelling or pain etc-which by the way began yesterday. Great. They put me on it after being pain free for 3 weeks and now that I have taken myself off of it I am hurting. The pain is mostly in my feet on both sides. Seeing as this seems concerning to me I called my family doc and am going there this afternoon.

Glad to hear you are going to your family doc.

It sounds like water retention. If it only for pain then defenitely stop taking it and seek doctors advise ASAP!
