Default Rituxin if not feeling well?

My son is scheduled to get his second dose of RTX in a day but does not feel well at night. He is coughing and feels feverish until he takes his morning prednisone. Is this a sign of infection that would preclude him from getting second dose? I know our doctor will weigh in on this, but was wondering what your experience has been?

If he feels better after taking his daily pred, then I would say it's more likely wg symptoms, rather than a cold or infection. Pred would not make him feel better if it were an infection. But everything is worth mentioning to the doc.

It's hard to say. You definitely need to get his doctor's input. Pred actually can suppress a fever, and since it lowers inflammation it could suppress a cough.

This could be a number of things, including anxiety about the upcoming treatment. Please check with the doctor.
