I would tend to agree with Phil. I think at 1mg you body is making most of it on it's own again. I'd be ready to refill the script if there are any feelings of fatigue or pain though.

Is that fast then? I was on 5mg for a long time, and it was just 3 months ago I started coming down from that.

That's not too fast. Most docs would say go no faster than 1mg per month once down to 10mg and maybe even a bit slower after 5mg but you know your own body the best. So going 1mg every 3 weeks is not much faster.

Mandy, my recommendation is to just do the extra week of 1mg. It's not a big dose, and you really do not want to risk having to stay on pred-- especially higher doses--if you get off it too fast.

I was just bumped up from 7,5 mg to 20 mg already tapering though, and hopefully I will be down to 7,5 mg again by early september.

Congrats I screwed my taper up and ended back up at 10mg again...kind of annoying how those mistakes work with Pred Going back to 9mg again tomorrow, then 1 mg every 2-3 weeks depending on how I feel.
