Firstly, thank you for signing up (or even for thinking of signing up!)
Just for your information, the signup process to these forums goes a bit like the following. It looks complicated but it really on takes a few minutes to sign up.
0. You sign up at: the forum registration page.
1. You will get a confirmation email. This email confirms that your email address is a valid one. There is a link in this email, you need to click on that link to confirm that firstly, your email address is valid and secondly, that you are indeed the person that filled out the registration. This puts you in the approval queue.
2. The admin (that's me!) gets an email telling me that you have completed the registration process. I log in, verify that you're not a spammer (sorry, it's a must-do these days) and then approve your registration. You will get an email notification of this when it happens.
Being in the trade that I am, I'm in front of a computer most of the day so approval shouldn't take too long. Don't worry however if your registration approval doesn't come through for some time. I might be asleep!
3. You can start posting in threads and feeling the love of a great community!
I hope that makes things clear. These steps are needed to keep this forum clear of spammers.
URGENT SIGNUPS
I understand that you may, for example, have a relative in hospital and have a bunch of urgent questions so if you really need your membership approved like NOW, send an email to urgent@wegeners-granulomatosis.com with 'URGENT SIGNUP' and your username in the subject. I can't absolutely guarantee that it'll make things faster but this email goes somewhere that will nudge me in the ribs and attract my attention
