Heart rate question??

I was wondering if anyones heart rate increased while tappering from the pred? Today was the first day Carter went from 60mg to 50mg, plus took him off his BP pill. They think he broke out in hives because of the BP med. I was told to check his BP today to make sure it didn't go up to high. But while checking that I noticed (by the BP monitor alarm) that is heart rate was at 125. I paniced and left message for dr. Waiting for a reply soon.

That's not typical for pred, but I have no idea if it could be related to stopping the bp med. Did you take it again to see if it's changed?

I'd page the doc if they're closed.

Depending on the blood pressure medicine, if stopped suddenly it can cause tachycardia ( fast heart rate). I would call your local pharmacist and your doctor right away.
