Has anyone heard of a patient with Wegener's develope PML (deadly brain virus) after taking Rituxan. My doctors of course had to warn me about it prior to taking rituxan but it just scares me.

PML is a possibility when taking any immunosuppressants. Cellcept and Rituxan have special warnings about it, but I don't know if our other meds do. It's probably because they specifically target B cells-- a major component of the immune system. My Wegs doc said he doesn't know of any Weggie who's developed PML from any drug. It's quite rare. Just look at the list of warning signs and don't worry about it.
