Mtx won't cause menopause but ctx often does. That contributed to a lot of my sweats, too.

I did not read that book, but would like to. I have seen/heard interviews of the author, Sherman Alexie, and best of all so far, I have a copy of the movie Smoke Signals, which I believe is based on one of the stories in that book (if in fact it is a book of stories?). In any case, Smoke Signals is one of my favorite movies!

No, that is not a side effect of mtx. Many younger people who have milder Wegs are treated with mtx instead of ctx, so as to preserve their fertility.

Mtx can't be taken during pregnancy. It can cause miscarriage.
