Default CT scan using iodine after taking MTX

My daughter just had a CT SCAN using Iodine and she is due to take her MTX today. I called her doctors office but there closed and I also called the radiology they just closed. Is it ok for her to take the MTX ?

I had a CT with iodine while on mtx. No troubles. I can't think of a reason why the 2 would be a problem together. I think iodine flushes out of the body pretty quickly.

I did, too. More than one, I think. I don't believe there is any contraindication.

So is iodine like the contrast dye that they give you in a PEP?

Yes, Phil. They also use iodine for MRIs. Some people have reactions to the iodine, so it is used with some caution. Apparently, some will be fine for the first scan or two, then develop an allergic kind of response later, so radiologists are skittish about overuse of the the process.
