one year of being a weggie!!

Hey there!! The 24th of june was my one year of diagnosis and I happened to get some great news that day also. I will be off the chemotherapy in a little over a month and was told I am being switched to imuran. And I have another question, has anyone been put into a medical menopause? If so are you also on blood thinners? I am worried that if they stop with my depto shots that when I do have my menstrual cycle will there be a risk of.bleeding to much from the blood thinners?

Glad you're getting off the ctx. (A year is way too long to be on that so you might wanna look for better doctors.) Many women have a difficult time getting their period back after Depo shots so your concerns about blood thinners may not be an issue for awhile.

they said its a possibility that i may or may not be off of the blood thinners when they switch my drug.

Hey Hiliary, Congrats. That one year mark sure is a funny one hey? Memories are so strong of the initial chaos but also a little surpressed. It's an odd anniversary. I'm so happy to hear you're off the ctx.

I still haven't got my period back - it's been gone since one month after getting on the ctx, and by the looks of it (blood test) it might not be coming back. I wasn't on blood thinners so nothing to report there. Here's hoping that you never have to look at CTX in the face again. Stay strong and healthy.

Thank you Marta!! Im more or less worried about being able to have children when the time comes. Only have til july 27th then im off the nasty ctx for good!!
