This is easier for me to get to right now to keep anyone updated. John has been sent to Chapel Hill hospital (best in NC ). Our rheumotologist fired us! He said he didnt fee comfortable treating John. So we went back to the ent today due to johns ears plus his eyes started bleeding out! He took one look at him and called head of rheumy here at CH. The rheumy here said for me to get him here asap (3 hr drive). He can't walk now due to the pain in his knees. Hopefully he will get the help he deserves now!
Bu the way. The ER person at CH took one look at John and called for the rheumy stat!

Yes, Chapel Hill has some good docs.

I forgot that Dr. Mary Anne Dooley is a Rheumatologist there and Dr. Ronald Falk is a Nephrologist there.

I believe another poster finally got help there too and was very pleased with the service. I think it was in the nephrology department as Falk is regarded as the premier kidney doctor for vasculitis.

Stephanie Thanks for adding me as your friend in FB. Im in total shock ! He started with sinus two weeks ago and now this. Im in tears. Did his eye actually bleed and now his leg are in pain. Ive kept up with your threads but the last one was about the bowel movement . HOw did all these other symptoms come about? Sorry for all the questions Im trying to learn as much as possible from thist horrible Wegeners.

I love the photo of John on FB. He is a very handsome, fit looking man.
I pray that he will be back to his happy self once these new lot of doctors get his symptoms under control.

It's good that your old rheumy recognized his limitations and fired himself.... You have to respect someone who can do that. Good luck with the new set of docs....
