I remember when my doc put me back on the Bactrim at 1 DS tab twice day back in July I started doing better energy wise. But also at the same time he cut by Cellcept from 1.5g twice a day to 1g twice a day. So I am not sure what was making me feel better. Also at the same time I started using Pulmicort up my nose as well as Bactroban ointment. Right away my mucus production went way down, no more coughing up chucnks, and crusting and bleeding way down as well in the nose.

Started doing too many new things at once but whatever it was it sure helped my nose and energy levels.

I would say the nose improvement would be attributed to the Pulmicort. I also got my taste and smell back slightly for a while as well.

And I would say the more energy could be chalked up to the reduction in Cellcept or the high dose of Bactrim.

Actually, once I started on the antibiotic treatment for Mycobacterium Abscessus in the hospital on Aug. 18 I can not taste or smell again.

I wonder what you taste like elephant.

Phil the antibiiotic is most likely the culprit ( no able to taste or smell). I would let your doctors know. Let your infectious disease doctor and Wegeners specialist know.
