Sounds wonderful! I live in a part of Nebraska with as much land mass as the Netherlands (pop. 16,000,0000 compared with western Nebraska- the Panhandle- and its 92,00 people!). I have never talked face to face with another Wegener's granulomatosis patient. At one point five years back, the idea seemed senseless. I became a member of the Vaculitis Foundation nonetheless. It's worth a visit at www.vasculitisfoundation.org They encourage you to have contact with other WG patients in your area, and such, but I feel this forum serves a better purpose, is, potentially, of greater service to people with the disease in early stages especially. The website above gives general information about the disease, has and excellent FAQ section. Anyway, give it a shot, but come back here, too!
